The operation of the bulk carrier Asahi Bulker, which arrived at the Port of Cabedelo to unload more than 27,000 tons of petroleum coke, set a new unloading record last week for the company Oxbow Brasil Energia.
On the first day of operation, 12,835,890 tons of petroleum coke were unloaded in 24 hours, from 8:00 pm on June 24th to 8:00 pm on June 25th.
On the second day, a new record was set; 13,457,420 tons were unloaded within 24 hours.
As a result, the ship operated around 522 tons per hour, reducing operating time and operating costs.
In addition to the unloading work, the cargo was covered in Hangar 7 to protect it from sun, wind, rain, and spoilage.
In this port operation, 380 workers were involved, including port security, TPAs, drivers, port operators, rockers, the navigation agency, the environment sector, and the operations sector of Docas-PB.
