
Egypt buys 200,000 tons of Brazilian raw sugar

Egypt’s state grain buyer, GASC, stated on the 29th that it had contracted the purchase of 200,000 tons of Brazilian raw sugar on behalf of state sugar buyer ESIIC for October and November arrivals.

Louis Dreyfus will supply 100,000 tons of sugar, with Viterra supplying another 100,000 tons.
Egypt has five months of strategic sugar reserves, said the supply ministry.
