
Petrobras initiates process for exclusive access to Ceará’s regasification terminal

On September 17th, Petrobras launched a call for exclusive access to the Pecém Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification Terminal (TR-PECEM), in Ceará, and its associated facilities.
The oil company complies with the determination of the Chamber of Exceptional Rules for Hydroenergy Management (CREG) by providing immediate and simplified access to TR-PECEM to the agent who can prove its expertise and begin the operation in a shorter period, with such a requirement being verified through proof of availability of a Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FRSU) to berth at the terminal
TR-PECEM is located at Pier 2 of Porto do Pecém, in São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE). The maximum regasification flow is seven million cubic meters per day. The pipeline is 19.1 kilometers long, integrating the TR-PECEM with the Guamaré-Fortaleza pipeline.
