Argentina to appeal US decision on biodiesel rates

The Argentine government announced on September 22nd that it will appeal the decision by the United States International Trade Court to deny its request to revise the rates imposed on Argentine biodiesel.
The US Court rejected a motion of judgment of the Argentine government and LDC Argentina on the high fees imposed since the beginning of 2018, after an investigation by the US government on allegations of state subsidies and dumping, which blocked the access of the Argentine exporters – one of the largest global producers of the commodity – to the US market.
“Argentina regrets the decision of the US Court,” said the country’s foreign ministry in a statement, adding that he had a 60-day window to appeal the decision.
“The Argentine government will work together with the private sector of our country to reverse this decision.”
