Continuing the financial restructuring of the Ecovix Group, Shipyard Rio Grande received a judicial inspection on Sept. 28, with the visit of Judge Fabiana Gaier Baldino from the 2nd Civil Court of Rio Grande. During the visit which included representatives of the Public Ministry and the Judicial Administrator, the company announced that there are advanced negotiations for further repairs to vessels at the site.
At the shipyard, the magistrate verified the work being carried out at the time, highlighting the repair of the ship Siem Helix I, which arrived at the dike exactly one month ago. The judge also received information about the prospecting of new business by Ecovix, which seeks to diversify its activities and generate more jobs in the naval area.
During the inspection, the Ecovix Group stated that there were advanced negotiations to carry out the repair of two more vessels at the Shipyard: the
Siem Helix II, an oil well stimulation vessel that operates for Petrobras in the Campos Basin, as well as the Siem Helix I; and the vessel Seven Waves, from Subsea 7, which also operates with the Brazilian state company as a pipeline support vessel (PLSV).
On August 28, the Rio Grande shipyard resumed providing services to the Navy with the arrival of the Siem Helix I, which will remain in place for the next few days. Services are provided in partnership with DockBrasil, a company from Rio de Janeiro that works with ship repair.
