September chicken meat trading sees record-breaking averages
Oct, 03, 2021 Posted by Ruth HollardWeek 202138
Even with the setbacks in the last days of the month, the high levels of chicken meat trading in the first weeks of September ensured that the monthly averages (until the 29th) reached real records in the CEPEA historical series, started in 2004, in all the regions monitored (the values were deflated by the IPCA of August/21).
According to CEPEA, the boost to prices came from the good pace of domestic and foreign sales of meat throughout September. For whole chickens, both frozen and chilled, the values reached real records in all regions monitored by CEPEA
