EPL begins updating the Manaus Port Complex Master Plan

On October 18th, the Planning and Logistics Company (EPL) initiated activities to update the Master Plan for the Manaus Port Complex (AM). The work developed by EPL performs a diagnosis of the port’s current situation and presents the short, medium, and long-term actions necessary for its development.

EPL’s CEO, Arthur Lima, presented to the port authority the process of updating the Master Plan and a preliminary projection on demand for the port complex in the coming years. “The Master Plan provides a strategic vision for the development of the Port Complex in the coming years. The document that will be updated by EPL will indicate the actions and investments necessary for the Port of Manaus to be integrated into the national transport system, develop the regional economy, and generate income and jobs,” he said.
Sectoral Plans – Updating the Master Port Plans is part of the work developed by EPL, which identifies investment needs and proposes the leasing portfolio to be structured and studied in the coming years in all Brazilian port complexes. The Port Sector Plan is developed based on the National Logistics Plan (PNL) 2035, a document that marks the resumption of transport planning in Brazil, developed by the Ministry of Infrastructure in partnership with EPL.
