The governor of Ceará, Camilo Santana, signed an agreement with the German multinational Linde on October 29, in Munich, Germany, to implement a green hydrogen plant in Ceará. The largest global company in the production of industrial gases and engineering, Linde is represented in South America by White Martins. This is the 12th Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Ceará for the production of H2V in the Pecém Complex.
“Linde is investing heavily in technologies in green hydrogen area and sees Ceará as having great potential for the production of clean energy due to favorable wind and sun conditions and the state’s privileged location. We are very confident that we are going to further sign this important partnership to produce green hydrogen”, quoted Governor Camilo Santana during the signing of the MoU at the company’s headquarters.
Green Hydrogen
So far, 12 MoUs have been signed with national and international companies to implement projects at the state’s green hydrogen hub. “This is an important step towards the decarbonization of the world. We are in a great task force to transform Ceará into a hub of green hydrogen, which is the fuel of the future. The whole world is looking for alternatives to reduce pollutants. In addition, we will bring new job opportunities to the people of Ceará”, said Governor Camilo Santana.
