World’s first fully automated multimodal transport terminal is working in China

Last Thursday (July 28), the first fully automated multimodal transport terminal at Nansha Port in Guangzhou was implemented.
Construction of the new terminal began in late 2018, having integrated advanced technologies such as Beidou navigation, 5G communications, artificial intelligence, and autonomous vehicles.
It is the world’s first fully automated multimodal river, sea, and rail terminal and the first automated terminal in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
