Argentina’s cement exports increased by 29.7% to 29,679 tons in the first quarter of 2019, compared to the same period last year. The country saw a dramatic rise in cement exports in March, up 61.5% to 10,896 tons year-on-year. The country’s local demands for cement fell 10.6% to 2.735m tons in the first trimester, year-on-year.
In March, market needs were entirely supplied by domestic producers as imports fell from 17,290 tons in March 2018 to zero, continuing the trend of the first two months of 2019, according to CemNet.
