An estimated 25,000 cubic meters of crude oil will be transported per day, tripling the current capacity of using tank trucks. According to Vaca Muerta News, the pipeline required a total of US$90m in investments.
The vertically integrated Argentine energy company, YPF SA and privately owned TecPetrol SA won the concession to operate the pipeline. The contract runs until 2052, with 85% stake awarded to YPF.
DatamarNews reported TGS is making progress on plans to build a 1,200km natural gas pipeline from Vaca Muerta to Buenos Aires.
