Apr, 24, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202320
Uruguay’s Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, Fernando Mattos, has signed the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that the country has with China to promote cooperation in the grains sector.
The signing took place during the visit of the Chinese delegation, an encounter marked by discussions over the production and distribution of grains between the two nations. This sector represents more than 60% of Uruguay’s exports.
Under the agreement, Minister Mattos and an Uruguayan delegation will travel to the People’s Republic of China to hold the first meeting of the new Joint Committee for Grains Cooperation.
