The government of Egypt has announced its sanitary approval for the importation of fish and derivatives from Brazil, according to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture. In 2022, Brazil and Egypt engaged in trade amounting to $3.48 billion.
Egypt stood out as Africa’s primary destination for Brazilian agribusiness products, with exports reaching $2.27 billion, ranking 13th globally.
This announcement follows Egypt’s recent decision to open its Brazilian raw cotton, gelatin, and collagen market, indicating a growing export trend.
So far this year, Brazil has secured access to 74 foreign markets for its agribusiness products.
