Major Shipping Route Update: Hapag-Lloyd GS1 Service Rotation Changes

In a recent move to optimize its US Gulf-South America East Coast Service (GS1), Hapag-Lloyd has announced a series of rotation adjustments effective immediately. The changes, designed with customer cargo planning in mind, involve alternate omissions at key ports in Brazil and Mexico. This strategy aims to maintain efficient cargo operations while providing flexibility for shippers relying on these routes.

The GS1 service will now operate two main rotations with specific omissions in Veracruz, Mexico, and Paranagua and Navegantes, Brazil. Here are the details:

Rotation 1): Altamira (MX) – Houston (US) – New Orleans (US) – Cartagena (CO) – Suape (BR) – Santos (BR) – Buenos Aires (AR) – Montevideo (UY) – Rio Grande (BR) – Navegantes (BR) – Santos (BR) – Rio de Janeiro (BR) – Cartagena (CO) – Veracruz (MX).

For your reference, please find below the bi-weekly and alternate omissions for Paranagua and Navegantes:

  • First Vessels with Paranagua Omission: Jazan V.2424 NB; Tempanos V.2426 NB
  • First Vessels with Navegantes Omission: RDO Endeavour V.2425 NB; Cape Pioneer V.2427 NB

Omissions Altamira and Navegantes:

Rotation 2): Veracruz (MX) – Houston (US) – New Orleans (US) – Cartagena (CO) – Suape (BR) – Santos (BR) – Buenos Aires (AR) – Montevideo (UY) – Rio Grande (BR) – Paranagua (BR) – Santos (BR) – Rio de Janeiro (BR) – Cartagena (CO) – Veracruz (MX).
