Brazil’s Soy Exports in February Expected to Reach Up to 11.2 Million Tonnes, Says Anec

Brazil is expected to export between 8.3 million and 11.238 million tonnes of soybeans in February, according to the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) in its weekly report. In January, soybean shipments totaled 1.104 million tonnes. In February last year, Brazil exported 9.608 million tonnes, Anec data showed.

Corn exports in February are projected to reach 1.026 million tonnes, down from 3.146 million tonnes in January but up from 794,000 tonnes in February 2024, the association reported.

Soybean meal exports for the month are expected to total 1.519 million tonnes, slightly below January’s 1.639 million tonnes. In February last year, shipments amounted to 1.455 million tonnes. Meanwhile, wheat exports are forecasted at 478,200 tonnes in February, compared to 657,961 tonnes in January and 538,406 tonnes in February last year.

Between January 26 and February 1, Brazil exported 499,584 tonnes of corn, 230,752 tonnes of soybeans, 728,102 tonnes of soybean meal, and 234,020 tonnes of wheat. Based on port line-up data, projections for the week of February 2–8 indicate shipments of 601,120 tonnes of corn, 2.36 million tonnes of soybeans, 456,811 tonnes of soybean meal, and 176,930 tonnes of wheat.
