The general director of domestic trade at the Indonesian Ministry of Commerce, Suhanto, said last Thursday, April 24, that the government issued permits for the country to import 20,000 tons of beef from Brazil and Argentina. The Indonesian government is easing rules for imports of some food commodities, as it acts to guarantee food supplies amid the coronavirus pandemic and ahead of the Islamic fasting month, Ramadan.
