21 port authorities win the Portos + Brasil award for management excellence

Yesterday, representatives of the federal government and the port sector met at the Clube Naval de Brasília for the Portos + Brasil Award ceremony. In total, 21 port authorities were awarded the award which aims to recognize the best practices adopted by public ports in the country and the professionals responsible for these initiatives.

In its second year, Portos + Brasil encourages the pursuit of excellence in the management of these projects, essential to national transport logistics.

Following are the winners:

Execution of Planned Investments

1st place: Portos do Paraná – Execution of 76.1% of the investment budget available in early 2020
2nd place: Superintendence of the Port of Itajaí (SC) – Execution of 60.1% of the investment budget available in early 2020
3rd place: SCPar Port of Imbituba (SC) – Execution of 49.7% of the investment budget available in early 2020

EBITDA Margin Variation

1st place: Companhia Docas do Espírito Santo – EBTIDA margin 2020 11,059% higher than in 2019
2nd place: Companhia Docas do Ceará – 2020 EBTIDA margin 350% higher than 2019
3rd place: Companhia Docas do Pará – EBTIDA margin 2020 214% higher than in 2019

Handling Growth (Port Authorities – Public Ports)

1st place: Companhia Docas do Ceará – handling in 2020 12.5% ​​higher than in 2019
2nd place: Companhia Docas do Pará – handling in 2020 12.4% higher than in 2019
3rd place: Superintendence of the Port of Itajaí (SC) – handling in 2020 11.8% higher than in 2019

Private Use Terminal Growth / Agricultural Solid Bulk Handling

1st place: Cianport Miritituba Station (PA) – 2020 handling 53.5% higher than in 2019
2nd place: Hidrovias do Brasil Miritituba (PA) – 2020 handling 40.3% higher than in 2019
3rd place: Vila do Conde Terminal (PA) – 2020 handling 39.6% higher than in 2019.

Private Use Terminal Growth / Mineral Solid Bulk Handling

1st place: Porto Sudeste (RJ) – 2020 handling 16.8% higher than in 2019
2nd place: Ilha da Guaíba Terminal (RJ) – 2020 handling 13% higher than in 2019
3rd place: Alumar Private Port Terminal (MA) – 2020 handling 7.7% higher than in 2019

Private Use Terminal Growth / Liquid Bulk Handling

1st place: LNG Regasification Terminal of Bahia (TRBA) – Movement in 2020 1,394% higher than in 2019
2nd place: CCPN Terminal (RJ) – Movement in 2020 13% higher than in 2019
3rd place: Ilha Redonda and Ilha Comprida (RJ) Waterway Terminal – Movement in 2020 73.4% higher than in 2019

Private Use Terminals/Container Handling Growth

1st place: Santa Clara Terminal (RS) – 2020 handling 32.2% higher than in 2019
2nd place: Passão (AM) – 2020 handling 24.1% higher than in 2019
3rd place: DP World Santos (SP) – 2020 handling 18.4% higher than in 2019

Ranking of the Port Authority Management Index (IGAP)

1st place: Ports of Paraná – Grade 9.0
2nd place: Santos Port Authority (SPA) and Maranhão Port Administration (EMAP) – Grade 8.5
3rd place: Suape (PE), SCPar Port of Imbituba (SC) and Port of São Francisco do Sul – Grade 8.0
