9th Brasil LOG Expo 2024: Navigating Market Shifts Amid GDP and E-commerce Surge
Nov, 23, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202345
Logistics plays a vital role in Brazil’s economy, effectively shaping the market of goods and services. Brazil’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2022 at R$ 9.9 trillion, according to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), and R$ 2.7 trillion in the first quarter of 2023, logistics players feel optimistic as production and consumption rely on efficient transportation and storage.
The GDP of the Transportation, Warehousing, and Postal Services sector grew by 1.2% in the first quarter of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, marking a 5.1% increase. Logistics acts as a barometer of the economy, being the first aspect of the market to pause in a crisis and the first to resume operations – affirms Adelson Lopes, the brain behind Brasil LOG, an International Logistics Trade Show.
Based on the economic landscape and companies’ needs for solutions, Brasil LOG will be held for the first time in consecutive years, reaching its 9th edition on May 22, 23, and 24, 2024.
Brasil LOG is a reference in the logistics sector, recognized as the primary networking and business event in the industry, fostering integration among executives, logistics companies, experts, and a qualified audience. In the May 2023 edition, it generated around R$ 10 million, but for Lopes, this number doesn’t stop there, as many deals are consolidated later on, driven by the solutions the fair provides across the five logistics models: land, air, maritime, rail, and inland waterways.
Why attend the 9th Brasil LOG?
Accessing services and solutions, as well as staying informed on logistics demands, in just one location saves time, especially given the sector’s numerous challenges, which range from infrastructure and geographical distances to technology and management. The challenge for Lopes is to remain competitive in a complex market amid the growth of road freight transport as a result of e-commerce.
Among the logistics solutions, Brasil LOG features exhibitors with tools that compile data, provide visibility to processes, improve productivity, and promote sustainable initiatives.
Another highlight is the Business Rounds, free lectures on relevant topics in line with market needs and trends, as well as test drives of trucks and forklifts.
Structure and Audience
The 9th edition of Brasil LOG will take place in an area of 53,000 m², in three pavilions hosting over 60 exhibitors at the Comendador Antônio Carbonari Park – Parque da Uva.
The expectation is that representatives from American, German, and Chinese companies with branches in all logistics modes, Logistics Condominiums, Distribution Centers, Warehousing, Storage, Consultancies, and professionals such as Freight Agents, Shipowners, Customs Brokers, Importers, and Exporters will attend the fair.
In addition to companies and individuals operating in the sector, the 2023 edition was also attended by municipal representatives, State Government officials, Authorities such as ARTESP, and federal agencies such as Infraero.
