The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), alongside the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), will carry out a marketing campaign to promote Brazilian pork and chicken meat in Russia.
The campaign will take place throughout February on billboards, street clocks, bus stops installed in the tourist area of Moscow. In total, there will be 69 advertising points in the city’s central region.
Held by the CAP Amazon agency with the message “Quality you can trust – a Long-term partnership,” the action will take place amidst a solid Brazilian presence in the Russian capital, as representatives from Brasil will participate in Prodexpo, a food fair that will take place between the 9th and 11th of February.
The project aims to strengthen the international brands ‘Brazilian Chicken’ and ‘Brazilian Pork’ at a critical juncture in the sector’s history. “Recently, Russia announced the release of a quota of 100,000 tons for pork imports, and Brazilian exporters are expected to send significant volumes to the Eastern European market,” says the ABPA.
Currently, Russia is among the ten largest importers of chicken meat from Brazil, with 105.9 thousand tons shipped in 2021 (equivalent to 2.4% of the total), generating revenue of US$ 167.3 million in the period.
The country also stands out among the pork meat destinations, with 9,200 tonnes imported last year (equivalent to 0.8% of the total), with revenue of US$ 23.8 million.
“This will be an excellent opportunity to promote the international image of Brazilian chicken and pork meat. We will value the attributes and partnership we have developed over the years, reinforcing our position as a strategic partner for the Eastern European nation’s food security,” says ABPA president Ricardo Santin.
