The president of ABPAP (the Brazilian association of animal protein), Ricardo Santin, and the president of APEX-Brasil (the Brazilian export and investment-promotion agency), Augusto Pestana, signed a new agreement on October 20 to promote exports from the country’s poultry and pork industry.
The agreement is valid until 2023 and will include technical mentoring and support for image campaigns, workshops with stakeholders, and special actions at fairs in various target markets for exporters of chicken meat, pork, duck meat, eggs, and poultry genetic material.
Business prospects generated through actions in large food fairs supported by the agreement exceed US$ 3.5 billion already, according to ABPA projections based on agreements previously signed with APEX-Brasil.
In terms of direct impacts on consumers, the data is even more impressive. Two actions that were carried out by the ABPA & Apex-Brasil partnership in the markets of South Korea and Japan in 2021 reached around 100 million views.
