Açu Port drops standstill agreement with OSX
Oct, 18, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202340
On September 16, OSX announced that it had received a notification from the operator of the Port of Açu in São João da Barra, Rio de Janeiro, stating that they would not extend the standstill agreement signed in 2018.
Under the agreement, the Port of Açu had previously committed not to take any actions against OSX to enforce financial obligations owed by the company, including rents for the area it occupies on the premises.
The company is currently assessing the impact of the Port of Açu’s notification and is considering potential measures, including negotiations, to address the termination of their agreement.
