Aliança Navegação e Logística, a company of A.P. Moller-Maersk and a pioneer in cabotage and integrated logistics in Brazil, is attending the 29th Intermodal South America 2025 — the region’s most significant event in logistics, intralogistics, cargo transportation, and international trade. The event takes place in São Paulo from April 22 to 24. With over 70 years of experience, the company operates in 14 Brazilian ports. It offers customized, integrated “door-to-door” logistics solutions — spanning maritime, road, rail, and river transport, as well as warehousing and depot services. Now, it also announces its entry into the air freight sector in Brazil, positioning itself as the only cabotage carrier offering a complete, end-to-end, multimodal logistics chain in the country.

Initially available on the São Paulo (SP) – Manaus (AM) route, Aliança Air Freight is strategically integrated with the company’s other transport modes.

“We are very excited to offer our clients this additional transportation option, focused on making their supply chains even more efficient. This launch reinforces our commitment to delivering faster, more resilient solutions backed by Aliança’s traditional reliability and security. We are advancing as a true logistics integrator, expanding our reach and providing the market with another innovative and dependable service alternative,” says Luiza Bublitz, President of Aliança Navegação e Logística.

In addition to air freight, the company has also been investing heavily in expanding its network of available routes across the country, connecting Brazil’s South and Southeast to markets in the North and Northeast regularly, efficiently, and more sustainably. “Traditionally, cargo mostly flowed from the North to the South — from production regions to consumer centers. With the development of markets in the North and Northeast, especially in Manaus and its Free Trade Zone, Aliança has also started investing in the reverse route, allowing clients across Brazil to use cabotage for two-way commercial partnerships (North-South and South-North),” says José Roberto Duque, Aliança’s Commercial Head.

A great example is a major multinational snack food company operating in Brazil. By adopting integrated logistics—combining cabotage with road and rail transport for moving raw materials from São Paulo’s interior to its factory in the Northeast—this Aliança client achieved significant business benefits. It reduced cargo damage by up to 90% compared to road-only transport and improved cargo traceability. It cut door-to-door logistics costs by 20% to 30%, also enabling a 10% to 15% reduction in the final product price.

Another innovation that reinforces Aliança’s customer-centric excellence is the Online Quotation Portal—a digital platform that redefines the customer journey by allowing users to get logistics quotes in minutes. With a 100% online, easy, and intuitive process, users can adjust parameters based on their desired mode of transport, such as route, equipment type, and cargo. The platform also enables door-to-door quotes with full cost transparency and visibility, offering agility, efficiency, and flexibility to meet the specific needs of each operation.
