Allog Group Expects Up to 15% Increase in Fruit Exports

Allog Group has been deep in an optimistic stance regarding the growing fruit exports in 2024, bolstered by the recent share buyout in the companies FTrade and Fortallog. The strategic move came to fruition in the second half of 2023, strengthening Allog Group’s role as one the leading players in the reefer cargo market in Brazil.
The combination of FTrade expertise in reefer cargo and Allog’s know-how in integrated logistics culminates in a well-rounded solution to the market that encompasses all steps in the chain, from storage and customs clearance to international freight.
In 2023, FTrade exported 17,678 TEUs of fruits, consolidating its leadership among Brazilian freight forwarders, specifically in the reefer sector. Mangoes, grapes, lime, melon, watermelon, and apples were some of the most exported fruits in Brazil.
Allog Group forecasts about a 10% to 15% increase in fruit export operations in 2024, mainly due to an expected surge in mango demand across leading international customers, namely Europe and the United States. Plummeting logistics costs, however, foreshadow the increase in domestic consumption in these key markets.
In absolute values, in 2023, the three companies handled a total of 105,624 TEUs via maritime means and 3,820 in air transportation. In the forest products market, Allog has made a name for itself by handling 18,222 TEUs, of which 13,625 TEUS were bound to the United States. Another distinguishing feature was the import operations of solar energy panels and associated components, holding a 20% market share in Brazil.
US Domestic
The intense cargo flow between Brazil and the United States has generated a solution focused on an in-depth assessment of logistics in North American territory. Bestowed the name US Domestic, Allog Group’s new cell aims to foster increased transparency, as well as a dedicated service to US-bound cargo.
The goal is to provide support along all stretches of a container logistics path. “We first identified this need during the pandemic, when shipowners and the entire domestic supply chain were overflowing with backlogged demand. Then, we started dealing directly with local suppliers and keeping a close eye on the process. This strategy yielded great results, helping create faster, transparent logistics,” cites Diogo Bernstorff, Allog’s Product Director.
