Antaq demands adjustment on Port of Itaqui new fuel terminal report

The National Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq) requested Ultracargo Logística to resubmit the RAPIR investment progression report about the IQI13 area in the Port of Itaqui, which will house a new fuel terminal destined for the handling, storage, and distribution of liquid bulk. Ultrcargo has 15 days to respond to the request.
The regulatory agency understood that the notes made by Emap – the Maranhão state port management agency – should be forwarded to Ultracargo, in accordance with the methodology for monitoring investments established by Antaq and with the provisions of the Lease Agreement No. 06/2021.
Among the notes emitted by Emap are a complete updated photographic record; the Technical Responsibility Note attached to RAPIR; the revised schedule for the completion of executive projects and the start of other work, among others.
The new fuel terminal at the IQI13 area in the Port of Itaqui will include a containment basin with six tanks with a static capacity of 83,000 m³, road platforms, a transfer center, and support facilities, such as an administrative and operational building.
Furthermore, the project scope involves connecting this new terminal to the mooring infrastructure next to public berths 104, 106, and 108, as well as the existing rail branch at the Port of Itaqui.
This information is contained in Lease Agreement No. 06/2021, signed between the Ministry of Infrastructure, Antaq, Emap, and Ultracargo Logística in August of last year, with the IQI13 area as the object of the lease.
