Brazil’s National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ) has approved the extension of Public Consultation 08/2023, which addresses the lease of Area VDC29 located in the Organized Port of Vila do Conde, Amapá. The decision was published in the Official Gazette this Wednesday (10).
With this approval, the public consultation will remain open until February 1. Additionally, the decision authorizes the conduct of an exclusively virtual public hearing on January 25 at 10 am to enhance the effectiveness of the social participation process. The process rapporteur, Director Wilson Lima Filho, will chair the hearing.
The lease notice outlines that the activities to be carried out in the leasing area VDC29 involve the reception, storage, and dispatch of plant bulk solids, particularly soybeans and corn. The leasing area covers 67,448m², with road and wharf connections. The leasing period is set for 25 years.
