The National Agency for Water Transport (ANTAQ) presented the SFIS Mobile application to the Ministry of Infrastructure (Minfra) at a meeting in late August at the Agency’s headquarters. The meeting aimed to publicize the optimization and security of the data collected during enforcement that the application offers.
The application was developed by the Information Technology Secretariat and the ANTAQ Regional Units Supervision and Coordination Superintendence, through its Planning and Intelligence Management.
According to the superintendent, Gabriela Coelho, the application has several benefits: “Reduction of the processing time in the inspection stage, reduction of errors in the instruction of the processes, and simplification of the daily work of the inspectors.”
The application allows for the ease of use for the Agency server during surveillance, such as importing authorized company information, integration with Agency databases, as well as automatic generation of notifications and infringement notices for immediate submission to the Agency. In addition, SFIS Mobile offers the inspector other practicalities, such as entering offline data (when there is no internet signal), allowing the insertion of photos, and completing the checklist of inspection procedures, as well as issuing reports of inspection.
