The National Waterway Transport Agency (ANTAQ) published the Panel of Organized Ports, with extensive data and information about all Brazilian port authorities.
The objective is to enable users, researchers, public policy makers and other interested parties to consult projects, decisions and processes that influence the tariffs of the 35 Brazilian public ports. The panel was developed using Qlik Sense technology, and can be accessed from anywhere and by anyone.
The first tab of the panel contains the regions, federation units and municipalities where the organized ports are located. It is also possible to consult the exploitation regime – Federal State, Delegation and Concession Agreement – under which the ports are managed.
Additionally, it is possible to find out which entity controls a given port, such as Companhia Docas or Superintendência, and whether the port in question adheres to the standard of ANTAQ Resolution No. 61, of 2021, which establishes the standardized tariff structure for port administrations, tariff readjustment and review procedures.
The second tab is dedicated to more economic exploration issues, such as annual tariff revenues and investment projections based on these revenues. The panel also makes all tariffs approved by ANTAQ for organized ports available.
The complete readjustment approval history since 2019 is available on the platform, allowing comparisons to be made between public ports in the country.
One of the main purposes of the panel is to provide transparency to the entire tariff adjustment process, from the entry of the request for its approval or eventual rejection by the Agency.
Another feature available in the panel is the consultation of the Tariff Readjustment Index (IRT), its national average and the dates foreseen for the next readjustment or revisions, allowing users to follow the essential parameters of this procedure under the responsibility of ANTAQ, comparing ports.
