Antaq will hold public hearing on privatization of the Port of São Sebastião

On February 7th, Antaq will hold a virtual public hearing to solicit contributions to improve the technical and legal documents for the Organized Port of São Sebastião (SP) concession. The meeting will begin at 3:00 pm.
The project
The project aims at privatizing the Port of São Sebastião and its related port services. According to the federal government, the privatization initiative induces stems from the prerogative of attracting more significant private investments to improve port efficiency.
The contract will have a term of 25 years and will provide for estimated investments of R$ 3.263 million. The proposed minimum grant amount is R$33.3 million and must be paid in a single installment. The bidder willing to disburse the highest grant value will be awarded the contract at an auction held in person.
The concession of the Port of São Sebastião, according to the federal policy, shall bring productivity gains in terms of management and efficiency, as well as expedite purchases and contracting processes necessary for port operations.
