On November 26, ANTT (the national land transport agency) and ANTT (the national waterway transport agency) completed Operation Solarium. The inspections took place in the main national ports, whether sea or river. The teams were distributed across 20 port facilities. In addition, 35 weighing stations that ANTT manages were inspected, increasing the scope of the operation. The federal highway police also participated.
The main objective of the operation was to verify compliance with the minimum freight floor, the transport of dangerous products, the regularity of records and documentation related to the transport service, and the national registration of road freight carriers (RNTRC).
“The idea was to strengthen this partnership, exchange information between the agencies and achieve our main objective: to supervise in an integrated manner to ensure the user the adequate provision of land transport services”, emphasized the Superintendent of Inspection. For the general director, Rafael Vitale, these integrations are very rich and essential to improve and guarantee the quality of the service. “The one who wins is the transport user, whether by land or waterway”, he pointed out.
