Exports of malt from Argentina to Brazil reached a record of $150 million in the year’s first half. Shipments could reach $300 million during 2023.
“We have achieved the historical record of malt exports to Brazil: operations of more than $150 million during the first half of 2023,” announced the Argentine Ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Scioli, on Twitter, while estimating “exports of $300 million” for the entire year of this product to the neighboring country.
In the same post, Scioli stated that Argentine diplomacy is focused on promoting external sales of local products, referring to malt shipments from the province of Santa Fe to Brazil.
The ambassador highlighted the work carried out by the Argentine embassy to restore trade between the two countries. “This was one of the main objectives at the beginning of the current administration when bilateral trade had halved, and we had to start a rebuilding effort through agreements with supermarkets, 14 binational industry and trade chambers, and trade missions. Now we are seeing the results,” Scioli said.
