Argentina’s food sanitation Senasa received a note from Lebanon’s Animal Resources Directorate informing that all sanitary certificates necessary for the export of boneless meat were accepted. Argentina is now also apt to export pork to Lebanon.
The export of fresh meat (bone-in and boneless) from bovine cattle, sheep, and goats, as well as the export of chilled or frozen pork, were both approved by Lebanon thanks to Senasa’s cooperation with the ministries of agriculture and foreign affairs.
It is worth noting that, since 2007, Argentina has been exporting fresh boneless meat of the species mentioned above to Lebanon.
See below the track record of pork (HS 0203) exported by Argentina between Jan 2019 and Aug 2022. The data is from DataLiner.

According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), Argentina exported corn and soybean meal to Lebanon this year. These products stand out in terms of volume and foreign exchange.
Senasa plays a central role in planning national food production. This allows the country to have sanitary agreements to export products to more than 2,300 markets in 152 countries.
