Argentina receives Brazil’s first avocado shipment

Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed that Argentina received its first batch of Brazilian avocados on April 30 following the opening of the Argentine market to the commodity. The decision to open the market was made in a bilateral trade meeting in January. Two more shipments are already on their way, according to a tweet by President Jair Bolsonaro:

Argentina’s avocado demand is approximately 360 tons a week, the Ministry of Agriculture said.
