The volume of soybeans processed in Argentina reached 42.4 million tons in 2021, the highest level in five years, according to the Rosario Stock Exchange on the 28th.
The South American country is the largest exporter of processed soy bran and soy oil in the world, as well as the second-largest maize producer.
According to data by the Stock Exchange, the volume of processed soybeans increased 17.7% vis-a-vis 2020 when the economic activity was first affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, the financial value generated by the activity was less than the value generated by the 44.5 million tons processed in 2016.
