Argentine food exports grow 17.6% between January and July

According to Argentina’s Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, the country exported 27m tons of food between January and July this year, an increase of 17.6% compared to the same period last year.
In the period, export revenues totaled US$14.68bn, without nominal variation compared to the first seven months of 2018.
The products with the highest growth in foreign trade volume were sunflower oil (+45.5%), beef (+44.2%), soybean oil (+42.1%), and poultry meat (+31.2%). The main destinations of foreign sales were China, India, Brazil, Vietnam, United States, Spain, Indonesia, Chile, and Italy.
In July, Argentine food exports totaled 4.5m tons and revenues totaled US$2.4b, up 32% in volume and 7.1% in revenue compared to the same month of 2018.
