Asia Shipping recorded an increase of about 18% in maritime imports in the first half of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022. Among the most demanded cargoes in this service are products from the automotive, retail, textile, solar panels and home appliances sectors .
The multinational has been a leader in the maritime import service for over a decade. “Today, Asia Shipping holds the number one spot in more than half of the main shipowners in terms of volumes handled on the route from the Far East (Far East) to the East Coast of South America (ECSA). This partnership is one of the differentials of our service, as we are able to offer our customers greater allocation and protection of space in several route alternatives. Another advantage we offer are the personalized services, which allow us to set up the cargo transport strategy in the way that best serves the customer”, comments William Verona, Pricing from the FCL Import Department at Asia Shipping.
For the second half, the integrator expects a significant increase in operations due to the Peak Season, a period of demands above the capacity offered by the market. The main factors for this increase in demand are the end of year festivities and the Black Friday period.
