Auction of vehicle area at Port of Paranaguá on Friday, Dec. 18th

On December 18, at 3 pm, a public bid for a vehicle area will take place at the Port of Paranaguá, at B3, of the PAR12 terminal. The  74,000 m2 area can hold up to 4000 vehicles. The event will be attended by Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior.

The 25-year lease is for a no-physical-structure model (greenfield), at the discretion of the granting authority. The estimated investment (Capex) is R$ 22.2 million and the bidding is for the highest grant amount, which starts at R$ 1.00.

After delivery of the envelopes, the proposals will be evaluated and the bidding will be for the higher award value. To guarantee full and unrestricted publicity for the public auction session, it will be broadcast live via streaming beginning at 3 pm on the website www.tvb3.com.br, and on the B3 Channel on YouTube.

Port of Paranaguá embarks 157 buses in a single batch

More news about Port of Paranaguá: On December 14th, 157 buses were loaded in a single batch, setting a new record and beating the old record by two vehicles. It took the operator only about 10 hours to place all units inside the ship.

“In 2020, we saw shipments of this type more frequently, due to the market and the good fare, space, and qualified labor conditions. Paranaguá has a very low rate of damage and this makes all the difference when the importer chooses a port ”, explains the Director of Operations for Portos do Paraná, Luiz Teixeira.

In addition to this, three large loads of public transportation vehicles were carried out this year: In July, 130 buses were loaded onto a single ship. In October, another 110 buses were loaded, and in November, 155 more buses were loaded. Until now, that was the largest shipment ever carried out in a single batch in the port of Paraná.

The 552 vehicles went to Boma, in the Republic of Congo, and Luanda, in Angola. The buses are part of a public transport project in African countries. Two more large-scale shipments are already scheduled for January and February 2021.
