Bahia ports achieve 0.32% increase in August following general trend
Sep, 29, 2023 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202338
In August 2023 alone, ports in Brazil’s famous state of Bahia handled 1,080,231 tonnes, marking a 0.32% increase compared to the same period in 2022, which saw 1,076,802 tonnes.
This growth reflects a larger trend observed in the year’s second half, with cargo throughput surpassing the previous year’s figures all over Brazil.
If this trend continues throughout the year, port authority CODEBA will likely end the year with positive cargo handling results.
