Brazilian beef exports are expected to grow faster than the global average in 2023. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), the national industry will trade abroad 3.5% more than in 2022. The volume was 2.345 million tons last year.
For the USDA, global beef exports will grow just 0.5% over the course of this year. According to the North American agency’s estimate, Brazil will stand out in 2023 in terms of animal protein production and shipments.
Executive of the Brazilian Association of Artificial Insemination (Asbia), Cristiano Botelho, points out that “this projection shows the potential of Brazilian meat in its mission to feed the planet.”
Brazilian beef is a global highlight
According to USDA estimates, Brazil will account for 24.60% of global beef exports. As a result, the country will solidify its position as one of the world’s leading suppliers of beef protein, according to the Asbia team.
