Beef exports rise 4.85% in January

The month of January ended with the shipment of 160.1 thousand tons of fresh, refrigerated and frozen beef, according to data from Secex (Secretary of Foreign Trade). Exports had an advance of 4.85% compared to the total shipped in December of last year, which shipped 152.7 thousand tons.
In the annual comparison, the advance in exported volume was 16.01% compared to January of last year, when 138.06 thousand tons were shipped in 21 working days. In regards to the daily average exported, the month of January ended with 7.28 thousand tons and registered an appreciation of 10.8%, compared to what was observed in January of the previous year, which was 6.5 thousand tons.

The amount negotiated for the product last month was US$ 775.783 million, considering that the price commercialized during the month of January of the previous year was US$ 722.548 million. The daily average was US$ 35,262 million and recorded an appreciation of 2.5%, compared to that observed in January last year, which was US$ 34.407 million.
