Beef from Argentina: exports grow 22%

Beef exports from Argentina in the second quarter of 2022 totaled 159,000 tonnes, up 19% in comparison with the previous quarter and up 7% from 2Q21, according to information by Minerva Foods regarding the 2nd quarter of 2022.
In revenue, exports reached US$ 966 million in 2Q22, up 26% compared to 1Q22 and a substantial increase of 53% compared to the same period in 2021.

In the first six months of 2022, beef exports from Argentina reached 293 thousand tonnes, in line year-on-year. Revenue in the period was US$ 1.7 billion, a substantial expansion of 40% compared to 1H21.
China represented 67% of total Argentine exports in 2Q22, remaining the principal market for the country. Germany, which acquired 9% of exports, was the second largest destination, followed by the Netherlands with 5%, and later by Chile, Israel, and the USA, absorbing approximately 4% of exports each.
