Beef: Intense Pace of Brazilian Exports Signal Possible Monthly Record
Apr, 25, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202417
Brazilian fresh beef exports surged in April, pointing towards a potential monthly record.
Data from Secex, analyzed by Cepea, revealed that daily shipments had surpassed 10 thousand tons by April 19th, resulting in over 155 thousand tons exported by then. This figure already positions April as the second-best month in history, with seven more days remaining for the total calculation.
In April 2022, which set a historic record for the month, the daily average stood at 8.29 thousand tons. Cepea researchers anticipate that the current export volume could help achieve better equilibrium with domestic supply, indicating increased stability in the market in the short term.
