At the most recent meeting of the Santos Port Authority’s Board of Directors on May 23, President Anderson Pomini’s proposed ten new goals were approved. The organization also decided to retain nine previously established goals. Notable among the new objectives are plans for constructing the Santos-Guarujá tunnel, revitalizing warehouses 1, 2, 3, and 7, and publishing a public notice for hiring permanent dredging services, among other operational enhancements.
President Anderson Pomini expressed his satisfaction with the approval of the goals, stating, “We have included ten new targets that align with the guidelines set by Minister of Ports and Airports, Márcio França to enhance the relationship between the port and the cities. Simultaneously, we have prioritized operational improvements to enhance and ensure the efficient operation and expansion of the largest port in the southern hemisphere.”
The newly established targets address the demands of the port community and the regional population, such as conducting studies to review the project for the second phase of Avenida Perimetral da Margem Esquerda in Guarujá. Other goals include submitting the technical analysis for the modeling of STS 10 and initiating investments in the Port of Santos Internal Railway (Fips).
The teams led by the new directors, namely Bernadette Mercier for Administration and Finance, Carlos Magano for Infrastructure, Eduardo Lustoza for Business Development and Regulation, and Antônio de Pádua for Operations, are already actively working on implementing the approved goals.
The entire Port Authority team is committed to achieving these objectives, which fall under the six priority themes currently in effect at APS: Port-Cities Integration, Infrastructure Improvement, Appreciation of Workers, Improvement of Governance, Digital Transformation, and Sustainable Expansion of the Port of Santos.
