Jul, 27, 2022 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202230
Brazil and Argentina agreed to collaborate on a joint regulatory agenda for agricultural biotechnological products to expand trade between the two countries.
The idea is to have a future bilateral memorandum of understanding to define the terms of cooperation.
Technicians from both countries met last week in a meeting chaired by the National Technical Commission on Biosafety (CTNBio). The goal was to identify activities that would enhance the progress of future scientific and technology applications in Brazil and Argentina.
The meeting also promoted the exchange of information on processes and regulations regarding products with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
