Brazil announces trade surplus of $4.165 billion in August, above expected

Brazil announced a trade surplus of USD 4.165 billion in August 2022. According to data released on September 1 by the country’s Ministry of Economy, such a balance was the result of US$ 30.84 billion in exports and US$ 26.675 billion in imports.
Year-to-date, the trade balance surplus in Brazil reached $44.054 billion.
The daily average of exports increased by 8.4% in August, with agriculture rising by 38.4%, manufacturing increasing by 24.8%, and extractive industry products dropping by 30.2%.
On the other hand, imports rose 30.5%, with a 30% rise in agriculture, growth of 45.4% in the extractive industry, and expansion of 29.9% in products from the manufacturing industry, always in comparison with the daily average.
