Aug, 26, 2024 Posted by Gabriel MalheirosWeek 202434
The Brazilian government welcomed Saudi Arabia’s announcement that it has authorized Brazil to export live poultry to the country.
This marks the second market opening in Saudi Arabia this year. In March, the Kingdom approved the import of vegetable seeds from Brazil.
In 2023, Saudi Arabia ranked as the 11th largest destination for Brazilian agricultural products, with exports totaling $2.93 billion.
With this new authorization, Brazil’s agribusiness sector has achieved its 102nd market opening of the year, bringing the total to 180 openings in 58 destinations since the start of 2023.
These achievements are the result of collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
