The pre-launch event of the Brazil Export Platform (BRAEXP) took place on September 28th during the meeting of the Apex-Brasil Deliberative Council. It is a digital platform for foreign trade services aimed at connecting Brazilian companies, especially micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), with export service providers, including business training, commercial intelligence, trade promotion, financing, insurance and guarantees, logistics, customs clearance, and documentation.
The platform is the result of a partnership between the British and Brazilian governments, conceived and developed as part of the Brazil-UK Trade Facilitation Program. The Ministry of Development, Industry, Foreign Trade, and Services (MDIC) coordinated the initiative on the Brazilian side.
One of the services available on BRAEXP is “Access the World,” a digital service of the federal government that allows any Brazilian company, especially micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises from any region or sector, to receive a free and automated assessment of export maturity and a personalized list of actions for internationalization, identifying the export services needed to access or expand sales in international markets.
The platform, conceptualized by MDIC, was developed and will be operated by ApexBrasil with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA), and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE).
