Production takes place mainly in the State of São Paulo, where there is greater availability of raw material for manufacturing in the country. Half of the entire sugarcane crop in the country is harvested in plantations in São Paulo, according to data from the National Supply Company (Conab).
For 2023, Conab estimates that crop production will reach 610 million tons. The number represents a growth of 5.5% over the previous year.
