Brazil exports 1.635 million t of sugar in October

According to government data from Brazil’s Secretariat of Foreign Trade, the average daily income earned from Brazilian exports of sugar and molasses reached US$ 71.115 million in October, during the month’s first nine working days (Secex). The average daily export volume reached 181,738 thousand tonnes.

In the month, 1,635,643 tonnes of sugar were exported, generating US$ 640.036 million in revenue and an average price of US$ 391.30 per tonne. In comparison to the daily average for October 2021 of US$ 41.460 million, the value obtained daily by sugar exports in October 2022 increased by 71.5%.
Volume increased by 57.3% compared to the 115,552 thousand tonnes shipped daily in October 2021. On the other hand, the average price increased by 9.1% from US$ 358.80 per tonne in October 2021.
