On Wednesday, Sept. 28, the Brazilian Federal Revenue apprehended 293 kg of cocaine that criminals inserted into a container bound to the Port of Valencia, Spain, from the Brazilian Port of Navegantes.
The drug was found during a routine inspection operation at the container terminal, which followed certain risk management criteria to select which cargo loads would be inspected.
In this case, the container that concealed the drug was carrying plywood sheets inside of it. The Federal Revenue detected the drug officers after the container passed through the scanners and sniffer dogs.
This was the 4th cocaine apprehension that happened at the Itajaí and Navegantes Port Complex in 2022, totaling 1,478 kg of narcotics to date.
