Brazil July Poultry Exports Near Last Year’s Levels, Gov’t Reports

According to the Brazilian Federal Government’s Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), exports of poultry meat and edible offal—whether fresh, refrigerated, or frozen—are nearly matching last year’s performance up to the fourth week of July (20 business days).

As of now, revenue from chicken meat exports stands at $754.9 million, representing 96.04% of the total collected in July 2023, which was $785.9 million. In terms of volume, 397,829.64 tons have been shipped, which is 98.44% of last July’s total of 404,124.24 tons.

The average daily revenue this month is $37.75 million, a slight increase of 0.8% compared to July 2023. However, this figure shows a 1.05% decline from the previous week’s $38.15 million.

In terms of daily average volume, 19,891.48 tons have been exported, up 3.4% from the same month last year. Compared to the previous week, this marks a 1.08% decrease from 20,110.08 tons.

The price per ton is $1,897.55, which is 2.4% lower than the price in July last year. This price shows a marginal increase of 0.03% from the previous week’s $1,896.84.
